Claire Newman‘s journey in The Young and the Restless has faced several interesting developments so far, but the latest ones seem to put her on a rather cold and bloody path as she is shown contemplating murder. This contemplation is complicated by the involvement of two parties on Claire’s hitlist: Victoria, her own mother, and Jordan, her great-aunt who had raised her.

So, who does Claire want to kill in The Young and the Restless? Does she want to kill Victoria? Is Jordan her murder target? Here is the intriguing situation explored.

Does Claire want to kill Victoria or Jordan on The Young and the Restless?

Claire has separate plans to kill Victoria and Jordan. However, it is unclear which one is her actual plan.

In an episode of The Young and the Restless released last week, Claire reconnected with Aunt Jordan and revealed to her that she was still willing to go through with their original plan of revenge against the Newmans, whom Jordan held accountable along with her nephew Cole, for her estranged sister’s insanity. Claire told Jordan that all they needed to do was kill her mother, Victoria.

However, Claire soon met up with Victoria and their grandmother, Nikki, and shared with them her plan to kill Jordan. She reasoned that as long as Jordan was alive, she would be a massive threat to their well-being. While Nikki eventually got on board with the plan, Victoria had misgivings but supported the two. Moreover, the trio also kept the plan a secret from Claire’s love interest, Kyle, and Victoria’s husband, Cole.

Despite this secrecy, Victor Newman has overheard their plans. This would complicate matters as he would be determined to foil them in their plot to get rid of Jordan.

Ultimately, no matter which plan she chooses to go with, Claire would likely still benefit from each one’s success. If Victoria is killed, it will only be Jordan who gets the blame, and Claire will get off scot-free, in addition to receiving her inheritance promised to her as a Newman. Claire and Jordan escape for a separate life with the money from the former’s inheritance.

If Jordan is killed, Claire would still be fine as she will continue her privileged life as a Newman. Moreover, she would also not face dire legal consequences as Nikki and Victoria would protect her.
