In response, Whitfield opened up about her personal trauma, revealing to everyone that she had been sexually assaulted. Whitfield also said that she had shared the same with Hassan.

In an attempt to help resolve the conflict, Jessel Taank confronted Hassan, who was visibly shaken and confused. Hassan claimed that she never knew about Whitfield’s past. Hassan denied having any recollection of this sensitive conversation. As the confrontation continued, Whitfield seemed to downplay the seriousness of the situation, telling the other women that Hassan might not have “clocked” what she said.
