The series will be set on a college campus, and center on the complicated relationship between an author (Carrell) and his daughter (Clive).
The untitled Steve Carell comedy is executive produced by veteran TV producers Bill Lawrence (Ted Lasso) and Matt Tarses (Scrubs), who are also writing the first episode of the 10-episode series.
