Pokémon TCG Pocket has partnered with McDonald’s to launch exclusive Happy Meals across participating US locations. The limited-edition meal features a wide variety of exclusive rewards for both the mobile version and the tabletop Pokémon trading game.

Here is a step-by-step guide to participating in the McDonald’s x Pokémon TCG Pocket rewards program.

Here’s how to unlock Pokémon TCG Pocket rewards with a McDonald’s Happy Meal

The exclusive McDonald’s Happy Meal will comprise the following items: a Pokémon TCG booster pack featuring four of 15 available Pokémon TCG cards, a Pokémon-themed poster, and one sticker sheet for decoration.

Per McDonald’s official website, each box design will feature one of the Pokemon themes, namely Charizard, Pikachu & Dragonite together, Rayquaza, and Roaring Moon.

Pokémon TCG Pocket took to X (formerly Twitter) to disclose the exact details of the collaboration and the procedure for unlocking rewards in-app. Customers will be able to receive these exclusive rewards only upon a Happy Meal purchase from the McDonald’s application. Moreover, this offer is available for a limited time, expiring on March 31, 2025.

The information below provides instructions on unlocking rewards:

Install the McDonald’s app
Go to settings, and enable email before purchase, to receive your in-game rewards in the game app.
Further, go to the menu section and order a Happy Meal through the application.
Upon purchase, you will receive an in-mail gift code and a link to your rewards.
Tap on the link and enter the code/id on the rewards website.
Once the code is accepted, your rewards will reflect in-game in the gifts section.

When customers purchase through the fast-chain application and follow the whole procedure, they can unlock rewards like 24 Pack Hourglasses and 12 Wonder Hourglasses.

Guillaume Huin, McDonald’s Senior Marketing Director, recently emphasized their dedication and enthusiasm for launching an interesting campaign that appeals to their fans. “Much like they do for McDonald’s, our fans have deep nostalgia and love for the Pokémon brand. We’re thrilled to build on those great memories and create a new moment of fun and happiness with the new Pokémon Happy Meal,” he shared.
