Although 2018’s Hallmark’s Love on the Slopes is nearly 7 years old, fans are still wondering about the filming locations of the romantic comedy movie. The story follows Alex, a copyeditor working in New York City who travels to Ridgeline Resort to write a story for a travel writing competition. There, she crosses paths with Cole, an extreme sports enthusiast. Soon, the two grow closer as he helps her face her fears regarding her assignment and she aids him with his local arts festival.

So where was Love on the Slopes filmed? Here are the gorgeous locations that create the movie’s stunning backdrop.

List of Love on the Slopes filming locations

Love on the Slopes is set in Ridgeline Resort. However, this is not a real location and is purely fictional. Although there is a Ridgeline Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, this was not the filming location for the rom-com.

Instead, Love on the Slopes was filmed at the following locations:

Whistler Mountain, Whistler, British Columbia, Canada
Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort
Grouse Mountain Resort, Vancouver, Canada

The Whistler Mountain location was confirmed by the film’s lead actor Thomas Beaudoin in a behind-the-scenes video. The Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort served as the primary shooting spot for the bungee jumping and zip lining scenes shown in the movie. Meanwhile, Grouse Mountain Resort was used for the skiing and rock climbing scenes.

Tourists can also engage in extreme sports activities in Whistler Mountain, as per the official Whistler tourism website, much like how Alex and Cole do in the film. They are:

Love on the Slopes was directed by Paul Ziller from a script penned by Kirsten Hansen as well as a story developed by Bruce D. Johnson. Besides Thomas Beaudoin, the film also stars Katrina Bowden, Anthony Konechny, Elysia Rotaru, Chris Shields, Corey Woods, Doron Bell, Beverley Breuer, and Marion Eisman.
