Lois lies to Brook Lynn about the adoption agency

Brook Lynn and Chase excitedly tell Lois they plan to adopt and ask for her help contacting the agency that handled her adoption. Lois panics — there was never an official agency involved. She lies, claiming the adoption was closed years ago. As Ned leaves, Brook Lynn presses for details, unaware of her mother’s deception.

Ezra schemes with Tracy against Sonny

Ezra tries to win Tracy over by suggesting they team up against Sonny. Tracy, eager to remove Sonny’s influence, writes him a check but warns him not to cross her.

Nina and Portia plot against Drew
