Man fighting for life after allegedly being shot in chest

Police are looking for an alleged gunman after a 36-year-old man was shot at a property in Logan last night.

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was allegedly shot in the chest in Queensland overnight.

Emergency services were called to a property on Saverin Road in Eagleby in Logan, around 32km from Brisbane, around 10.10pm yesterday, after reports shots had been fired.

The shooter allegedly fled the scene before police arrived.

A 36-year-old man then took himself to Logan Hospital with a gunshot wound to his upper body and was transferred to Gold Coast University hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Police have established a crime scene at the property in Eagleby.

No arrests have been made and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

It is not believed to be a random attack and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
